കോട്ടയം: പരമാവധി വിലയേക്കാൾ കൂടിയ വിലയ്ക്ക് കത്തി വില്പന നടത്തിയതിന് ഓൺലൈന്‍ വെബ്സൈറ്റിനു പിഴ. ജില്ലാ ഉപഭോക്തൃ തർക്ക പരിഹാര കമ്മീഷനാണ് പിഴ ഈടാക്കാൻ ഉത്തരവിട്ടത്. കത്തിയുടെ വില 410 ആയി കാണിച്ച് 45 ശതമാനം വിലക്കിഴിവിൽ 215 രൂപയ്ക്ക് ലഭിക്കും എന്ന പരസ്യം കണ്ട് കത്തി വാങ്ങിയതിന് ശേഷമാണ് പരാതിക്കാരൻ കത്തിയ്ക്ക് ടാക്സ് ഉൾപ്പെടെ 191.96 രൂപ മാത്രമാണുള്ളതെന്ന് തിരിച്ചറിയുന്നത്.

 ഉപഭോക്തൃ തർക്ക പരിഹാര കമ്മീഷനെ സമീപിച്ചപ്പോഴാണ് 191.96 രൂപ പരമാവധി വില പ്രിന്റ് ചെയ്ത പായ്ക്കറ്റ് 410 രൂപ എന്നു വ്യാജപരസ്യം നൽകി 215 രൂപ ഡിസ്‌കൗണ്ട് വില ഈടാക്കിയ ഓൺലൈന്‍ വെബ്സൈറ്റ ഗുരുതരമായ നിയമലംഘനം നടത്തിയതായി കമ്മീഷൻ കണ്ടെത്തിയത്. 2019 ലെ ഉപഭോക്തൃ സംരക്ഷണ നിയമം അനുസരിച്ച് വിൽപന നടത്തുന്ന ഓൺലൈൻ പ്ലാറ്റ്ഫോമുകൾ അനുചിത വ്യാപാരം, സേവനന്യൂനത, തെറ്റിദ്ധരിപ്പിക്കുന്ന പരസ്യങ്ങൾ തുടങ്ങിയവയ്ക്ക് നഷ്ടപരിഹാരം നൽകാൻ ബാധ്യസ്ഥരാണെന്ന് കണ്ടെത്തിയ കമ്മീഷൻ ആമസോൺ കമ്പനി എം.ആർ.പി. നിയമം നുസരിച്ചുള്ള വ്യവസ്ഥകളും ലംഘിച്ചതായി കണ്ടെത്തി. 

ഹർജിക്കാരന്റെ കൈയിൽനിന്ന് അധികമായി ഈടാക്കിയ 23.04 രൂപ ഒമ്പതു ശതമാനം പലിശയടക്കം തിരികെ നൽകാനും 10,000 രൂപ പരാതിക്കാരന് നഷ്ടപരിഹാരം നൽകാനും പ്രസിഡന്റ് വി.എസ് മനുലാൽ, അംഗങ്ങളായ ആർ. ബിന്ദു, കെ.എം. ആന്റോ എന്നിവരടങ്ങിയ കമ്മീഷൻ വിധിച്ചു.

According to the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the commission found that online platforms selling are liable to pay compensation for unfair trade, poor service, misleading advertisements, etc. Amazon company MRP. It was also found that the provisions of the Act were violated.
